We’d like to wish Dean all the best on his solo career.  You see Dean has decided to leave the band and work on his first passion as a guitar playing front man.

In his place we have recruited a great guy called Dom.  An excellent drummer who we welcome with open arms.

Thanks for the memories...

BAKTRAK not only have a fantastic sound system, but provide both on stage and disco lighting to suit every venue.  They are soon to acquire a laser show too, and that’s going to be fantastic!

Our new lighting rig!

Roy has been with the band from the start.  Having done his time with such notable North East bands as French Curves, he is the eyes and ears, front of stage.

We reckon he must be feeling his age as he’s training up a protege, Dave the Dude to help out with the sound and light mixing.

We did ask him about this and he gave us a funny look and merely said:

“F-fish paste ....”

Not sure what he means by that, but I’m sure it’s deep and meaningful .......

A word from our sound man ........

BAKTRAK are constantly asked for a CD of their covers, especially their versions of “House of the Rising Sun”.  So due to popular demand the aim is to get to the studio and “lay one down” in the Autumn.

New album due out .....

Top North East Cover Band

BAKTRAK  are rapidly becoming the biggest event band in the North East of England.  With their mix of 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music covers, they never fail to impress and entertain wherever they perform.
