New Arrivals

Blue A gorgeous Shetland cross Welsh pony. Blue’s nickname is the billy goat as he has a very hairy chin! Blue loves lots of fuss and is perfect for smaller riders to learn on. Blue got is name as (surprisingly enough!) he is a blue-roan.
Amber The perfect pony for riders who are lacking confidence as Amber really takes care of you. She is a 13hh chestnut mare and has worked in a riding school before so is an old hand. Amber gets quite stiff so needs lots of TLC to keep her mobile.
Alfie  A gentle giant! Alfie is a 15.1hh coloured cob. He came in a little bit over weight so is on a diet and exercise plan. He is already shaping up and is a lot fitter. Alfie is a perfect gentleman and is very chilled out. He is already a big hit with our adult riders.
Jasper Posh name Rotary Lad! Jasper is the biggest horse at Stepney standing at 17hh. Jasper has a huge appetite and is always eating! Riding Jasper is fantastic exercise as he makes you work hard but it is worth it in the end! Jasper can work really well if the rider is prepared to sweat a bit!
Shane The cheekiest of ponies, one of Shane’s best tricks is to get hold of your pony tail with his teeth! Shane is a handsome chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail and stands at around 14hh. Shane is fantastic at jumping and loads of fun, especially if you have some riding experience.
Ebony A beautiful dark bay pony. Ebony is only 12.2hh but is perfect for beginners and more advanced riders. She excels at jumping and games and gives everyone who rides her loads of confidence.
Sunny The prettiest pony at Stepney! Sunny loves showing off his good looks and makes an effort to flick his toes out every time he trots! Sunny is a 13hh chestnut gelding with a flaxen mane and tail.  Sunny is a picky eater so it can be difficult to keep weight on him, but we think we have cracked it now with a new diet plan.
Socks A 14.2hh black cob with (you guessed it!) four white socks. He is a fantastic pony for all abilities and is extremely popular with everyone at The Stables. Socks loves being groomed and if you manage to find his favorite spot he will even groom you back!
Bonjo A beautiful skewbald cob. Bonjo was hand reared as a foal because tragically her mother died. Having so much contact with humans has made Bonjo think that she is one so can be a little bit cheeky at times! Bonjo is fantastic at jumping but can be very lazy so needs a lot of encouragement to get going!

Departures

Ace Ace has returned to his owner for a quiet life in the country. We are all missing his cheeky face and entertaining antics but are sure he is having a fantastic time chilling out in his field.
Bianca Bianca has been sold to a new home as she needed more turn out than we could provide at Stepney. Her new owners adore her and are providing her with tons of pampering! She must think its heaven!
Lady Lady has been one of the most popular horses at Stepney for a long time. Unfortunately her advancing years meant that she was starting to find the life of a riding school pony all a bit too much. She has found the perfect retirement home where she will be going for the odd happy hack. She is missed loads but we are sure she is having a wonderful time.
Peggy Peggy the Shetland pony has also moved on to a new life. Despite being very small Peggy is a very strong pony and many of our young riders found her a little bit too much to cope with. Peggy has moved to the country and has a new best friend in the form of another naughty Shetland!
Pumba Pumba has returned to his owner at The Rising Sun Country Park. Like Bianca, Pumba was used to more turn out than we have at Stepney and hadn’t settled as well as we had hoped. Pumba was a popular pony at Stepney, especially for nervous riders.
Sky Sky has been bought by one of our instructors. Vicky adores Sky and is already taking her to lots of jumping and cross country competitions. Sky needed some new challenges to keep her interest so we are sure she is having a great time scooping tons of rosettes!
Ben Ben has returned to his owner as he wasn’t settling in at The Stables. Ben is a very handsome horse and we miss his georgics head popping over his stable door!
Beauty Beauty really lives up to her name! She is mostly a driving pony and was a bit too much for most of our riders as she could be quite strong. Beauty has gone back to her owner but still pops in from time to time to see us!
