Stepney Bank Stables - Training & Education

Well the wait is over. See Stepney on BBC1 every Wednesday @ 5pm for the next 10 weeks

The Stables offers an opportunity for training focusing on horse welfare and stable management that cannot be found elsewhere. In this unique atmosphere, young people work alongside adults with learning difficulties to form a team with a common interest. The trainees gain transferable employment skills in addition to ‘soft skills’ through their involvement with our project and people. These include confidence building, self-esteem, motivation and the ability to work with others. They can experience working in a structured environment, accepting responsibility for themselves and others, acquiring health and safety knowledge and
many more attributes that we hope will assist them access further training or employment.

Young people who attend the Stables as part of their training scheme can work towards their NVQ’s in Horse Care. We are currently able to offer training to NVQ Level 3 with many other accredited courses on offer.
We have facilities to provide a quite study area and the young people can meet other young trainees.
