Welcome to Windsor First School’s Website, I hope you will find the information very useful. Our school is situated in the small town of Newbiggin by the Sea on the east Northumberland coast. It is a very historic town which at one time had thriving mining and fishing industries. Recently the town has undergone massive change through regeneration projects which are improving the quality of life for all the community.

Our school is right by the shore and over this last year we have witnessed the formation of a new breakwater and beach which has been fantastic for our children. For the first time since I have been Headteacher here, our whole school went onto the beach this summer for a sandcastle building experience!

Windsor First School is a thriving school with growing numbers, a good Ofsted report and a wonderful ethos, due to the caring approach of the staff.  All visitors comment on this.  The school is bright and busy; the children work hard and are provided with opportunities to learn using stimulating and creative approaches. We also encourage children to attend our many after school activities, including archery!

I am proud to be the Headteacher of Windsor First School and thoroughly enjoy my time here, watching the children thrive and become confident learners, preparing them for the future and enjoying the support of parents and the local community.
